Dr Francesca Bonatti is our Invisalign dentist, who has been working with Braces in London since 2008. Dr Bonatti is a Platinum Provider of Invisalign, meaning she is part of a rare group of dentists who have treated the most Invisalign cases in Europe.
Mint Dental offers Invisalign Go, Lite & Full, the revolutionary orthodontic treatment system redefining how we treat patients with crooked or gapped teeth and jaw issues such as an underbite, overbite, or crossbite.
The different combinations and kinds of Invisalign treatment we offer at our London practice:
Invisalign’s clear aligners gently shift teeth into their desired position through a series of custom-made aligners over several weeks.
Each week or so, you’ll switch out your current aligners to your next set – this will be to ensure that your teeth move step by step into their correct positions.
Invisalign works in a way that puts pressure on specific teeth at the right time to move them comfortably, a continuous process that will continue until teeth have arrived at their final position.
A provider like Mint Dental will use Clincheck software to see how your teeth appear and react at different points of the treatment – this is to evaluate your progress and ensure no adjustments need to be made.

Depending on the complexity of your bite or overcrowding issue, patients should expect to wear anywhere from 16 to 30 plus aligners. For example, typical Invisalign Full cases use up to 30 aligners, and more than this when using Invisalign Complex.
Treatment times can vary for Invisalign – some cases can be completed in as little as three months, whereas the treatment time for complicated cases can take up to 36 months. That said, the average Invis case is often 12 months.
To achieve the results predicted by the iTero scanner at the beginning of your treatment, it’s recommended to wear your aligners up to 22 hours a day.
While the aligners are removable and can be taken out to eat and drink – it’s recommended to wear them as much as possible so that you do not interrupt the course of your treatment.

Traditional, wired metal braces to fix common bite issues, crookedness and overcrowding are a thing of the past.
But is the treatment right for you? Are you a good candidate for Invisalign?
Invisalign has the power to correct both minor and significant problems:
There’s no denying that Invisalign is a swift, discreet and somewhat incredible system.
We love how it’s reduced the stigma for adults wishing to get braces and even for teens who might have otherwise been embarrassed to realign their smiles so obviously with bulky metal attachments and wires.
With that being said, like any cosmetic brace solution, even Invisalign has its limitations.
Even though it’s advanced since its first launch in the early 2000s, Invisalign can still not fix some common orthodontic issues:
With Invisalign’s clear, removable aligners, we can gently move your teeth into their correct position in a comfortable, convenient, affordable, and invisible way.
iTero® Element™ is faster, more reliable and more predictable.
Dr Bonatti uses the iTero® Element™, an advanced imaging system to deliver better, longer-lasting results that you can preview and approve of before the treatment even begins. The iTero scanner provides more accurate, precise impressions and simulates a 3D visualisation of your current smile and how it can look post-Invisalign.
With Dr Bonatti, you can plan your teeth-straightening treatment and custom-design how you wish your smile to look before we place an order for your bespoke aligners to be created.
Dr Bonatti can walk you through the potential outcomes of each treatment and even adjust your treatment between Invisalign review check-ups.
To see it is to believe it.
Sadly, not everyone will be a perfect candidate for Invisalign. But don’t worry. It’s not all doom and gloom.
Invisalign has become popular across social media and the internet over the last couple of years, but it’s actually been around for 20+ years.
Other, arguably better brace systems are available at our practice that cost less, straighten faster and offer similar discreet properties. Why don’t you ask us about them? Lingual Braces/Incognito Braces and Six-Month Smiles are just as great, but not covered by mainstream media as much.
That said, if you’ve been told you’re not suitable for precise aligner technology or similar treatments, our dentist would be happy to take a look and offer you a valuable second opinion.
Here at Mint, we always recommend the best treatment for the specific occlusal or bite problem our patients may face.
If we didn’t, we wouldn’t be classed as Platinum Providers of Invisalign by now, but rather, Dr Bonatti makes recommendations based on your condition, health and timescale.
Expect the best; feel your best!
Our Invisalign dentist, Dr Francesca Bonatti invites patients in for a consultation to see which type of orthodontic system will be the best, the fastest and most in line with your budget.
