Invisalign Consultation
Your Invisalign consultation is probably one of the most crucial stages of the programme. Using advanced technology like the iTero scanner, our practice can ensure we send off the most accurate results and impressions to Invisalign to create your custom, removable aligners.
Your Invisalign consultation will be free of charge and will be held with one of our trained and qualified treatment coordinators, who can assess whether you’re a suitable candidate for the treatment. By consulting with the treatment coordinator first, patients can save money by determining if they qualify for the fast, discreet system.
Your free consultation will include a scan of your mouth, which is worth over £300 using specialist equipment and imaging technology.
For example, the iTero Element scanner is powerful in the fact that it can thousands of 3D images of teeth in 60 seconds. Using this system, our Invisalign-approved dentists will be in a position where they can compare your current smile, to what it will look like after treatment – and it’s with the iTero scanner that we can show visually the roadmap to a straighter smile.
This means that patients will get to see a digital simulation of how their smile will shift at each stage of treatment, which not only allows patients to be excited about the results, but helps us monitor and track your treatment.
Whilst most patients are approved to undergo the treatment, you must bear in mind that Invisalign will not succeed in cases with gaps larger than 6mm or where rotation is required – that’s why your first consultation is crucial in providing patients with realistic expectations for treatment.
The molding process
The digital moulding process is the next natural step if you’re pursuing treatment, which is also completed during your initial consultation.
By taking thousands of images of your smile, we will get an accurate impression of how your teeth will move throughout your treatment.
The Invis moulding process is a much nicer experience compared to gooey impressions taken with traditional metal braces. The Invisalign planning technology is more accurate and precise, which creates better fitting and more comfortable aligners.

Faster manufacturing
Using Invisalign’s improved technology, we can offer faster treatment times, which means you can get your aligners faster. After your initial appointment, we will upload your results immediately to the Invisalign laboratory. Here, you can go about living your life whilst we communicate back and forth with the Invisalign lab to perfectly create your custom trays.
When we receive your custom set of aligners in three or so weeks, you’ll be invited back into the office, where we will fit small, invisible attachments at the top of your teeth, keeping your aligners in place.
Then guess what? You’re ready to go.

Your review appointments
When you receive your aligners, it will be your turn to do your part, requiring you to wear them up to 22 hours a day. And within just a few weeks, you’ll begin to see the magic happen.
Every few weeks, you’ll be swapping out your aligners for your next set, which will be slightly uncomfortable as your teeth progress into their new positions.
From here, you’ll be invited back into our practice every six to eight weeks to have your teeth 3D assessed to ensure they move into their assigned positions at the correct pace.
Please take care of your aligners during the process, which will require you to brush your teeth every time your aligner is removed to eat or drink.
