- We’re Platinum Providers of Invisalign
Have you seen “Diamond Provider” or “Platinum Provider”, for example, on several dental websites when searching for “Invisalign dentist London”? Wondering what the provider levels mean? Let’s break it down for you.
Do they even matter?
When choosing a provider or dentist for Invisalign, you want to choose the best and the most experienced. But if you’re unaware of the Invisalign classing system for providers, you won’t know how to use it to your advantage to find the best in the city.
Choosing the right orthodontist with the necessary credentials is essential for a well-planned and managed straightening treatment.
What are Invisalign Ratings and Provider Levels?
Invisalign has formulated its very own specific tier rating system that ranks orthodontists on their ability to deliver amazing results with the innovative system.
To ensure their brand maintains great results, Invisalign ranks orthodontists and awards them with plaudits on the number of cases they complete, which requires complete dedication and commitment to using their system. So, to rank high, dentists must achieve specific quotas and attain certain numbers every year.
How the Invisalign provider levels work
Not just any dentist can offer Invisalign; they have to be certified by Invisalign. Once they receive accreditation, dentists will work through five categories: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond, which are determined by the number of cases they complete.
Provider levels are determined by:
- How many smiles and lives they’ve changed with Invisalign
- How many cases they complete in any given year
- How many lifetime cases they’ve achieved
Please note that costs should not be dictated by provider level – costs should remain within the same remit whether you’re a Gold or Diamond Provider.
Understanding the provider levels
Results must be achieved within 6-12 months:
- Bronze: Must treat up to 4 patients. A minimum yearly requirement must be met first.
- Silver: Dentists must treat between 5 and 10 cases annually.
- Gold: Complete 25-29 cases.
- Gold Plus: 30-59 cases. Annual cases must exceed 50.
- Platinum: 110-139 cases. Dentists must achieve a total of 300 lifetime patients. Only 1% of dentists worldwide meet this criteria.
- Platinum Elite: 140-199 cases. To maintain this qualification, dentists must complete a minimum of 150 cases annually.
- Diamond: 200+ cases.
Who to choose
Remember, when choosing a provider, the choice is yours to make. Some patients might choose an Invisalign provider based on their convenient location. However, choosing a local dentist is unnecessary because Invisalign requires fewer review appointments than traditional treatment.
Patients should choose a provider they feel comfortable with – one who has solid reviews and provides them with enough information to understand their treatment inside and out.
Patients should remember that experience in this industry trumps all provider levels. Even though Invisalign uses digital technology to simulate your final smile, you still need the expertise of a trained, experienced dentist who can accurately plan your treatment at each stage and make adjustments when required.
