Periodontitis (Gum Disease)

Overview:

Gum disease is often clearly presented through sore gums, which are red and swollen. The disease’s main symptoms include bleeding gums and bad breath, which can be managed through increased oral hygiene measures like brushing teeth and flossing. However, a dental hygienist appointment will be required for patients with plaque or tartar build-up, as this can only be removed by a professional in a dental office.

Symptoms

In its beginning stages, gum disease, or gingivitis, is not always painful, which can often go unnoticed.

But spotting gum disease in its early stage will be crucial in reversing its effects and preventing the problem from being helped or cured. Initial symptoms include:
