Target and replace several missing & adjacent teeth. We use dental implants at Mint Dental in London to securely anchor life-like prosthetic teeth for life.

Do you have multiple gaps in your mouth? Have you lost teeth in random areas, or are they all missing in a row?

Patients can save money for teeth missing in a row by using one or two implants to replace up to three teeth.

Dental implants are a long-lasting, stable, and durable solution to replace multiple missing teeth and offer the best comfort, chewing, and aesthetics out of all other tooth replacement options.

Dental implants promote healthy bone and gums, unlike dentures or bridges.

Everything You Need To Know About Multiple Dental Implants

  • A straightforward procedure (surgery only taking one appointment).
  • The procedure was completed under local anaesthetic.
  • The most stable and solid foundation for replacement teeth.
  • Dental implants keep other healthy teeth intact and do not compromise the structure of other teeth like with dental bridges.
  • There are no limitations when it comes to eating and speaking.
  • The artificial tooth replacements require no unique cleaning routines, maintenance or aftercare.
  • Implants encourage bone stability and help preserve bone quality in the jaw.

Depending on your case and where your tooth loss occurs, you might not need to replace the gaps in the mouth with single-tooth implants. When we put together your bespoke treatment plan, we’ll consider how many teeth are missing, identify any that are failing and where they are in relation to each other.

  • Painless procedure and CBCT scans for accurate planning
  • Clinical spec: After a failed dental bridge, this patient was left with a large gap, which affected her smile and function. Dental implants were used to restore both.

Multiple implat questions

What are multiple dental implants?

Multiple dental implants use titanium screws acting like artificial tooth roots to replace adjacent missing teeth. The benefit of numerous tooth implants is that they replace teeth without requiring support from adjacent natural teeth, as seen with bridgework.

Can you have multiple tooth implants?

Individual implants can be placed separately (one for each missing tooth), or we can combine two or more implants for multiple missing teeth patients on a budget.

Can you have 2 dental implants next to each other?

If you are missing two teeth sitting next to each other, we can place two dental implants separately or use one to anchor a bridge.

Can 2 implants be done at the same time?

Absolutely. You can even have several missing teeth replaced at the same time. However, there will be several aspects for a patient to consider when replacing multiple teeth, including cost, time and stability – all of these factors we can consider when planning for your treatment during an implant consultation.

How to check if you qualify

Not everyone is ready straight away to get dental implants. The problem with missing teeth is that once you’ve ignored them for some time (even if you have dentures), the bone is not supported and will begin to deplete. And as dental implants require a solid foundation to fix, if you have insufficient bone, you won’t immediately be a candidate for conventional dental implant treatment.

But first, you might need a pre-implant procedure called a bone graft and sinus lift surgery to make extra room in complex cases. Conditions like gum disease and tooth decay might also impact your ability to receive multiple implants immediately.

However, with a gum specialist on site, there are multiple treatments we can apply to help you become a viable candidate.

Patients can avoid additional procedures by opting for innovative procedures like ‘Teeth in a Day’, which do not require sufficient bone and have been hailed as the “amazing graftless full arch solution”.

However, our implant dentist, Dr Rohit Patel, will advise what will be best for your condition and oral state during your consultation.

Been told you're not suitable for implants?

Bone grafting and sinus lifts or augmentations might also be necessary. It will make implant surgery possible as it increases the amount of bone placed in the upper jaw, where an implant can be placed securely.

Whilst pre-implant procedures like bone grafts and sinus lifts allow patients to become good candidates again for implant surgery, they cause further delays as we have to wait for the mouth to heal sufficiently before placing your implants, which often come with a three-month healing time. More on osseointegration and healing stages.

The multiple implant process

Multiple implant placement is similar to single implants; the multiple replacement process will see our implant dentist position several titanium screws into your jawbone so that they can act like the root of a natural tooth.

After a period of healing (usually three or so months), when the implant has had enough time to bond successfully with the jawbone, we can complete the restoration with a crown or dental bridge.

How does the procedure work?
  • Step 1: Consultation, examination and planning
  • Step 2: Preparation of the implant site and placement of the dental implant
  • Step 3: Final restoration, where the patient is fitted with a crown or a bridge

Prices for a single tooth implant begin from £2,950. However, please remember that prices will reflect your condition and needs. We will provide you with a realistic quote following your consultation, either with one of our regular dentists (free) or a specialist implant dentist (charged at £75).

Dental implants vs alternative treatments

Implant Dentists in London

Here at Mint Dental, we advise on the best solution but allow you to make a well-informed decision on which treatment you would like to receive.

In our professional opinion, dental implants will be the best long-term strategy. However, if budget is your concern, we can combine specific procedures with implants to make them more affordable.

For example, our implant dentist can use a minimum number of dental implants in combination with traditional tooth replacement methods like dentures and bridges to provide a more stable yet cost-effective outcome.

4 years a customer and always professional yet friendly service. Corrected my major issues (fillings/caps) and while they're keen to ensure ongoing 'perfect teeth' they don't hard sell peripheral / optional treatments. Highly recommended

I was looking for somewhere with a personal touch, that I could trust and that’s what I got at Mint. They always remember my name and are so polite. After a year of zoom meetings I really wanted my teeth to be straight and the results completely surpassed my expectations. I now feel comfortable taking photos! The team explained everything clearly (I felt I could ask anything multiple times) appointments were always organised and it was a really easy, worthwhile process. My teeth look like my teeth but are now at their best.
